CanSkate is the official Skate Canada learn to skate program, preparing skaters of all ages for figure skating, hockey, speed skating, and ringette. This year, the Moose Jaw Skating Club is excited to offer a flexible, no-fundraising program for our CanSkate families. The CanSkate program will be delivered five (5) week blocks, allowing families to choose the time frames that best suit their children's other commitments. Each block will offer all levels of CanSkate training, from first-timers to those ready to graduate to other programs. Skaters who commit to more blocks will see the quickest improvement in skating skills. Every block will have a different theme and different focus on skills, so it will be an engaging experience for those skaters who enroll in all four blocks. If you enroll in all four blocks at once, you will save $30!
When you enroll your skater in the CanSkate program, you are choosing a flexible schedule. CanSkaters will have the option to attend any of the three available sessions a week. Skaters who attend more sessions will gain skills more quickly, however, this flexibility will allow you to tailor CanSkate to your family's schedule. All levels of CanSkaters in the Moose Jaw Skating Club will share ice times. Coaches and program assistants will organize the skaters into groups based on skill levels. As skaters progress, they may be moved into more advanced groups. CanSkaters of all levels should register in the CanSkate - Learn to Skate sessions.
